Diane healed autoimmune conditions, hormones, and migraines on a carnivore diet

Diane’s Journey to the Carnivore Lifestyle

Diane describes finding her way into the carnivore lifestyle as a “long journey.” Diane grew up eating a very high-carbohydrate diet. She explains growing up her family did not have a lot of money, so many of their meals consisted of “meat, potatoes, and gravy– and bread, lots of bread.”

Diane also says she struggled with binge eating for most of her life. She went on her first diet at sixteen and, like many people, followed the mainstream low-calorie/low-fat diet. She says she spent thirty years on and off the low-calorie diet, wreaking havoc on her hormones.

Health Issues Before the Carnivore Lifestyle

Diane says her body developed many health issues. She struggled with rosacea, cystic acne, joint pain, migraines, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol and was considered pre-diabetic. She often had episodes of depression and anxiety and constantly felt “hangry.”

Transitioning to a Strict Carnivore Diet

Four years ago, Diane decided something needed to change. She was struggling to get out of bed almost every day and said she felt like if she continued to follow the path she was on, she might die.

Diane first began her health journey on a “lazy keto” diet. She describes eating many fat bombs and utilizing nut powders for keto treats. However, she found that her body did not handle nuts and seeds well, and the fat bombs made her skin break out.

She then transitioned to what she describes as a half-ketogenic and half-carnivore diet. Her diet was heavily based on meat, but she ate vegetables and more keto-like foods.

It wasn’t until a year ago Diane decided she needed to become a strict carnivore. Diane says she immediately felt better after committing to a strict carnivore lifestyle.

Excitement and Career Change Thanks to Carnivore Lifestyle

Now that she has been following a strict carnivore diet for almost a year, Diane says all of her previous problems are gone, and for the first time in her life, she “feels balanced.”

She is very disciplined about her eating, sleeping, and water and electrolyte intake. Diane describes how eating the carnivore way helps keep her in check.

Diane’s Advice for Those Considering Carnivore Eating

Today Diane eats two to three meals a day and says her diet consists of mostly beef, salt, and organ meats– particularly liver, which she says gives her energy.

Diane occasionally enjoys chicken, deer, and lamb, but she found her body reacts to pork and eggs. Particularly with pork, Diane describes having a histamine reaction, though she attributes her body’s response to commercial-based pork and says properly sourced pork is easier on her body.

Diane says, “I am excited about this lifestyle,” and wants to help others discover how this way of eating can change their life.

She has even changed her career path thanks to her health journey. Diane is a holistic health coach and also offers personal training. Her advice for anyone looking to adopt the carnivore way of eating is to “go for it!”

Diane says any person can benefit from carnivore eating regardless of their health issues. Diane also says she loves being a part of the MeatRx community, and this lifestyle has completely changed her life.
