Veronique: Healing Hormones with Carnivore

For Veronique, a health coach and founder of Cycle Serenity, the birth of her son in 2020 marked the beginning of a severe, multi-year health crisis. During her pregnancy, she suffered from debilitating hyperemesis gravidarum—an extreme form of morning sickness that left her unable to keep down anything other than plain carbohydrates.

At 5’2″, Mary gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy, developing gestational diabetes and high blood pressure along the way. After delivery, her metabolic health collapsed further. Her menstrual cycles became chaotic, ranging from 17 to 55 days apart, accompanied by extreme pain and continuous bleeding that lasted over three weeks at a time. Her doctors diagnosed her with post-pregnancy Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

Her sleep was fractured, leaving her unable to sleep for more than two hours at a time, even while relying on four different sleep medications. “I was an absolute wreck,” Veronique recalls. “The doctors told me to take birth control pills, take sleep medicine, eat low calories, and eat big salads. I did all of that and only lost a few pounds while remaining completely miserable.”

The 30-Day Carnivore Reset

Determined to find a root-cause solution after two and a half years of suffering, Mary came across a clip of Jordan Peterson discussing his carnivore diet experience. Out of options, she decided to try a 30-day zero-plant experiment, fueling exclusively on beef, chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy.

The biological transformation was almost immediate:

  • DAY 8 SLEEP RECOVERY: By her eighth day on the protocol, Mary completely stopped all four sleep medications and began sleeping through the night naturally.
  • CYCLE REGULARITY: Her severe PCOS symptoms subsided, her continuous bleeding stopped, and her menstrual cycle stabilized to a predictable, healthy rhythm.
  • EFFORTLESS WEIGHT LOSS: The 50 pounds gained during her pregnancy melted away as her body restored its natural insulin sensitivity.
  • MOOD AND ANXIETY RESOLUTION: Her baseline anxiety and low mood cleared, leaving her with sustained mental clarity and energy.

Tailoring Her Fuel for Performance

After using a strict carnivore elimination diet to restore her baseline metabolism and clear post-pregnancy eczema, Veronique began incorporating intense weightlifting and kickboxing into her routine.

Working alongside a functional practitioner, she tailored her diet to support her high-intensity training by adding targeted, low-glycemic, low-toxin foods like berries and bell peppers. By avoiding grains, ultra-processed seeds, and high-oxalate vegetables, she maintains her metabolic health while building lean muscle.

Today, through Cycle Serenity (@yourcycleserenity), Veronique coaches women in their childbearing years on how to cut through modern dietary noise, restore their fertility, and heal their cycles using dense, whole-food nutrition.

“When you’re eating salads and tracking every calorie, you’re constantly starving. Carnivore completely reset my system, gave me back predictable cycles, and allowed me to finally sleep again. Meat truly restored my life.”

Results are not typical. All viewers of this content, especially those taking prescription or over-the-counter medications, should consult their physicians before beginning any nutrition, supplement or lifestyle program.
