Patricia resolves fatigue, exercise intolerance on carnivore diet

Patricia’s Health Struggles

At 68 years old, Patricia has been on the carnivore diet for 3 1/2 months. Her diet consists primarily of beef, salt, suet, water, and organ supplements such as liver, bone marrow, thymus, and bovine cartilage, with occasional egg yolks.

As a young adult, she had lots of fatigue, had to take lots of naps, and go to bed very early. “I needed ten hours of sleep, and I was just always very tired. I couldn’t do what other people my age could do.

My fatigue was just absolutely debilitating. I was bedridden.” She had also been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was working with a holistic practitioner a functional medicine doctor. In addition, Patricia had digestion problems. Bowel incontinence caused her to be running to the bathroom all the time. All of this plus a terrible bout with hypoglycemia since age 28.

The Paleo Diet: A Temporary Solution

Three years ago, she went on a Paleo diet and improved considerably. She felt that although the Paleo diet did produce results, it was very controlled. She estimates that taking dietary supplements costs a thousand dollars per month. Some were to be taken on an empty stomach, and some with meals.

Patricia felt that she really didn’t have a life: making sure that supplements were always taken at the right time, making sure that there was always something to eat that was within the confines of the Paleo diet, preparing meals, preparing vegetables.

She couldn’t do what other people her own age did, like stay up at night and have friends over. Something had to change.

The Carnivore Diet: A Life-Changing Solution

Enter the carnivore diet. Patricia watched and listened to videos by Drs. Paul Saladino, Shawn Baker, and Ken Berry felt she was now equipped to begin the carnivore diet. Within a few days of being on the diet, her digestion had improved remarkably.

She was stunned. Within a week, she started to feel more energized and didn’t have to take naps. The hypoglycemia was gone, and she didn’t have to eat every few hours. Her tolerance for exercise was greatly improved. She was building muscle, which she noticed, especially in her legs.

The Benefits Of The Carnivore Diet

Her doctor tested her thyroid function and determined that there had been great improvement. And lastly, her arthritis has improved.

Grateful For The Carnivore Diet

Patricia is very appreciative of Dr. Baker for all that he is doing. “So I just feel like I got my life back on this diet. I see absolutely no reason I’ll ever go back to the way I used to eat.”

  1. So good to hear an ‘older’ woman’s success story.
At 61, 15 months carnivore, I am still waiting for the ‘miracle’ to happen.
However, I am now addressing my hypothyroid issues, so maybe that will be sooner than later.
    Never give up!
