Chris is no stranger to dieting, having “tried every diet over the years.” Now 24 years old, he says he is in the best shape of his life, just three months into his carnivore journey.
Chris has always been interested in fitness, a trait that runs in his family! “I’ve been into bodybuilding since I was six years old.” Some of his earliest memories include sitting in the World Gym daycare while his mom took training classes.
This early interest has carried over into adulthood. Chris is proud to be a certified personal trainer and is eager to share why he believes the carnivore diet is “clearly the best!”
Chris committed to strictly following a meat-only diet for three months and continues to see improvements in his overall health. While many people see results within the first 30 days of their carnivore journey, three months is typically an excellent goal to allow your body to adjust to a new way of eating.
At the gym, Chris has achieved new personal records since making the switch. His deadlift weight increased from 400 to 500 pounds, a 25 percent increase from his previous record. His body composition has improved as well. “I was already in great shape, but my body fat is down 5% since I started carnivore.”
Chris has found recovery from workouts much easier now that he’s improved his sleep quality. He’s “never felt better” and needs “less sleep than before.” As a result, he says his “energy levels are high and constant throughout the day.”
Another benefit for Chris is mental clarity. He believes his newfound “mental sharpness” is likely due to his brain running on ketones for energy. When the body is in a state of ketosis, it utilizes fat for fuel in the form of ketones. The brain then uses ketones instead of glucose, reducing oxidative stress. Many people following a carnivore diet experience more efficient brain function, including a sharper memory and better clarity.
Chris has noticed clearer skin for the first time in his adult life. “I have consistently had acne on my back since puberty. Now, it has mostly cleared up!” He believes ditching milk may help with this condition but hasn’t managed to give it up quite yet.
With steak as his go-to food source, Chris has better digestion. “I’ve had zero bloating or gas and no upset stomach for three consecutive months on carnivore.”
Emboldened by his own experience, Chris says he can confidently recommend a carnivore diet to his friends, family, or anyone interested in improving their health and strength. As a personal trainer who has seen impressive results in his own life, he is passionate about spreading the message that meat heals.
