Will is 65 years old and is enjoying a second lease on life! As championship-winning motocross athlete and stunt double who has had many brushes with danger, he’s found renewed energy and vitality since following the carnivore diet over the last year.

“It’s just the easiest thing I’ve ever done,” Will shares in his testimonial video. “I lost 30 pounds quickly and just couldn’t be happier. I love eating meat, mostly ribeye steaks, cheese, some eggs, and bacon every once in a while.” Will keeps his meals simple, a key for him to overcome years of sugar and food addiction. “I would just promise myself I wouldn’t eat stuff, but I couldn’t say ‘no’. It’s such a wonderful feeling to not be run by food but actually have the power to eat when I want to eat.” Will incorporates intermittent fasting into his carnivore lifestyle, and typically eats one or two meals per day, occasionally implementing a five-day water fast.

Will continues to participate in endurance sports, and has found renewed energy and strength on an animal based-diet. “The most amazing thing to me is I do not ‘bonk’ any more. It’s amazing to be fueled by fat. I used to panic that I was going to run out of fuel, and since I’ve become fat-adapted, I feel like my performance is just stronger and better than ever.” (In endurance sports such as motocross biking, bonking is a condition of sudden fatigue and loss of energy which is caused by the depletion of glycogen stores in the liver and muscles.)

In an inspiring interview with Revero coach Tracy, Will shares how coming to faith in God and leaving a life of drug and alcohol addiction was further enhanced by following the carnivore diet. Will was looking for ways to reduce belly fat, and discovered a bit of wisdom that helped reframe his relationship with food. “I heard someone say, ‘Abs are made in the kitchen’, and the truth of that just hit me. I was working out so hard that I almost gave myself a heart attack, and I was bloated in the middle. So I decided to eat differently.” Will went “all in” with the keto diet, and eventually came across Dr. Shawn Baker’s videos. As a meat-lover, the transition was natural for Will.

Will’s relationship with food has completely changed. Drawing a comparison to how he believes God set him free from drug and alcohol addiction, he shares, “I’ve been set free from my sugar and carb addiction. I noticed I’m feeling much better, and can ride faster and be more alert.” He found better self-control on the carnivore diet as well, as he had often been tempted towards unhealthy foods when trying to make “keto” versions of them.

At age 65, Will has been able to maintain muscle mass even without intense workouts, heal faster from racing injuries, and enjoys better mental clarity. “I’ve noticed while racing, where there is a high risk of being hurt or killed, that my mental clarity and concentration is better.” Will is open about his faith and his carnivore lifestyle, and enjoys openly sharing his story with others. “Helping other people is a better feeling than winning any race, it’s a wonderful thing!”
