Christopher improves allergies, vision, athlete’s foot on carnivore diet

Chris is 50 years old and has experienced several improvements to his health, including healing from allergies, athlete’s foot, leaky gut, and vision problems while following a carnivore diet.

What Is Chris’s Diet Plan?

Previously, Chris was following a ketogenic diet but made the switch to all animal-based food. On a daily basis, he consumes grass-fed beef, pork, organ meats such as liver, kidney, and heart, and dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, butter, and heavy cream.

“There are a ton of grass-fed farms where I live in Sweden,” Christopher shares. “All the dairy cows here are grass-fed as well, and that is where I get most of my food.”

Chris is 5’9″ tall and has gone from 185 pounds down to 148 pounds over the last year on the carnivore diet. In addition to weight loss, Chris has enjoyed several other benefits as well since making the switch. “I no longer have allergies, which is fantastic!”

Chris reports. “I used to get terrible seasonal allergies from Spring through to the Fall where mold would build up in the air. The allergies also caused blurry vision.

As a result of switching to carnivore, I no longer struggle with that anymore.” Chris also used to experience nail fungus (athlete’s foot) and very itchy skin that totally cleared up since making the switch.

Overcoming Leaky Gut Syndrome And Allergies

“I used to have bowel issues which I believe were related to leaky gut syndrome,” Chris explains. According to the Cleveland Clinic, leaky gut syndrome is a theory that intestinal permeability is not only a symptom of gastrointestinal disease but an underlying cause that develops independently.

If the intestinal barrier is impaired, it may be letting toxins into the bloodstream. “But now I’m back to a normal schedule, and I only have to use the bathroom once a day, which is much less frequently than I was using it before.”

Chris attributes this improvement to only eating animal-based foods and believes his body produces less waste as a result.

Recovering From Injuries With Carnivore Diet

After surviving a terrible car accident earlier in the year, Chris suffered from a broken neck, called a “hangman’s fracture,” and lost another 20 pounds while recovering from his injuries. He attributed this to his time in the hospital when he was unable to follow the carnivore diet.

Two months later, though, Chris says he’s back to his ideal weight of 147 pounds and has noticed a significant improvement in strength training. “I’m doing more push-ups, pull-ups, and dips than ever,” Chris says.

“I’m also able to play golf again. I’m walking, swimming, and doing everything I had been doing before my accident.”

Chris’s Beliefs About Carnivore Diet

Chris believes the carnivore diet was a key component of his full recovery. “I believe my successful healing is due to my diet of eating meat and dairy products.”

In addition to several health benefits, Chris feels that the carnivore diet is “green-friendly” and sustainable as well. “There’s less fertilizer being used, and people are producing less waste when they eliminate digestive issues like leaky gut syndrome that result in several trips to the bathroom.”

Chris is grateful to the carnivore community and those who are promoting lifestyle. “I don’t think people realize how important it is.”
