Sarah improves autoimmune conditions, arthritis, weight on carnivore diet

Sarah lives in Australia and has been following the carnivore diet for 2 months. She has experienced incredible health improvements, including weight loss, relief from autoimmune disorders, better mental health, and less joint pain.

Just nine months ago, Sarah began her journey to lose weight and find relief from pustular plaque psoriasis on a ketogenic diet. She has gone from 129 kilos (285 pounds) to 99 kilos (218 pounds) in that time. For the last two months, she transitioned to the carnivore diet, and has seen even more improvements to her health.

“I was told I had early onset arthritis in all my major joints and I had constant aches and pains. A year ago, I couldn’t walk 50 feet on my own and had to use a mobility walker at age 51.” This led Sarah to start the keto diet in which she saw about an 85% improvement for her joint pain and was able to reduce antidepressants and safely go off all of her blood pressure medication.

“My blood pressure had been so bad on a standard diet that I had to monitor it at home. Now, I’m off all of my statins.” With her doctor’s care, Sarah is also easing off of her antidepressants since starting the carnivore diet. “So six months ago I was taking all this medication, and as of Monday morning I will be down to zero!”

Sarah’s diet now consists of all animal products like meat, eggs, and dairy. She recently decided to cut down on cheese, and only drinks water and coffee with heavy cream. Typically, she eats one meal a day that includes bacon, eggs, and beef patties.

“At age 51, I really thought I was going to die. I was eating the standard diet and I really felt they weren’t far away from putting me in the ground,” Sarah shares. “I’ve done all the diets out there–Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, ‘calories in/calories out’, and spent hours at the gym. In the past, I’ve lost tons of weight and even had my stomach stapled. It was the worst operation I’ve ever had!” However, these diets did not work for Sarah, and her sugar cravings would come back as strong as ever.

“I was desperate! I had given up at age 51, but then I heard about the keto diet. I thought, well, it doesn’t cost anything,I guess I’ll give it a try!” Sarah felt much better on a low-carb ketogenic diet, but was still having some lingering issues with her psoriasis and joint pain. It was then that she discovered the carnivore diet, and has had amazing results in just two months.

“I feel amazing, I’ve been given my life back!” she says. “I haven’t had a moment of hunger and no longer have pain when I wake up, unlike when I was eating carbs and my whole body was screaming for food.” In addition to the other benefits mentioned, Sarah has also been able to put her lymphocytic colitis into remission as well, something doctors had previously told her was an “incurable” condition. “This diet not only saved my life, it’s given me a life worth living!”
