I’m a 26 year old male and have been chronically besieged by severe social anxiety since I was 13.
Interacting with anybody was a huge deal. I would have to fake my personality on the outside while feeling total mental pain and anguish on the inside. Eventually the chronic social anxiety gave way to a strong unshakable depression.
Everything was dull and painful. I felt no vitality and had no energy. I would sleep most of the day and became nocturnal for some time. I began ignoring family calling me on the phone because it was too mentally painful, and too physically draining to talk. Anti-Depressants only helped a tiny amount.
I came across Dr. Shawn Baker’s interview on the Joe Rogan podcast. Then I found Mikhaila and Jordan Peterson’s story of how eating meat healed them in so many ways. It made sense to me that humans are optimized for a meat-based diet and I had nothing to lose, so I started.
I had no expectations. I just needed any help I could get in alleviating my anxiety and depression – no matter how small.
My depression began to lift on the second and third days. Energy began to come back to me on around the fifth day. I started to feel like I did when I was a kid.
For once I had enough energy to exercise. My mental clarity continued to improve to the point where I could read books again. Socializing became much much easier.
It’s been a month of carnivory, and the results are real. I have no intention of going back on the Standard American Diet (SAD). I feel so great, I’m a new person. I want people to know that they can get real results in just one month of trying this. What the hell do they have to lose?
