Kassandra reverses a lifetime of obesity

My name is Kassandra and I’m 35 years old. My mother and I nearly died during my birth because she had untreated gestational diabetes. She passed out and I was pulled out with forceps unresponsive. I survived in nicu because the nurses taped together two incubators since I was a very large baby.

I stayed large through most of my life, starting my first diet when I started public school.

By my mid 20’s I was 270+lbs, and I had PCOS, lipedema, keratosis pilaris, bad acne, and extreme  joint pain.
Lost 100 lbs in my late twenties biggest loser style. My legs didn’t shrink much but I felt better because I was thinner.
Then I watched “Sugar: a bitter at truth” by Dr. Lustig and gave up sugar for 3 months.
10 months the later, I welcomed my first happy accident son into the world.
I eased up my sugar restrictions but still restricted calories and over exercised. Couldn’t lose weight. Blamed it on the birth control so I stopped it and got another happy accident.
My second pregnancy had complications because of extreme weight gain and failed glucose test.  Then I tried keto at the permission of my OB and stopped gaining weight. Had a healthy baby.
Listened to a bunch of YouTube lectures from keto conventions and heard about carnivore.  I still wasn’t gaining but couldn’t stop binging so I looked up what little I could on carnivore and tried 90 days.  That was over 2.5 years ago. I’m leaner than Ive ever been in my life. No more PCOS, acne, or joint pain. My lipedema is shrinking and reduced a lot. Keratosis has reduced 95%.
I can’t weigh myself because I still struggle with scale anxiety but I’m a S/M (dress size 6/8) and I spent most of my life in XL/XXL so I feel like I have a new body with more energy in my thirties than I had in my teens.

James gets off all psych meds on a carnivore diet

Hello,
My name is James. I am 27 years old and have suffered immensely from mental health issues since I was 6 years old. I was diagnosed with ADHD and put on psych medication in kindergarten. I also was depressed as a child which progressed as I became a teenager. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with Bipolar and schizo affective disorder. I am now 27 and have been hospitalized due to manic episodes over 200 times. I was told I would never live a normal life and always have to be on medications which caused obesity due to elevating my insulin and blood sugar.

I came across the work of dr. Shawn baker and dr. Chris Palmer. I began intermittent fasting and eating carnivore and within 2 weeks my lifelong depression lifted. I also lost 25 pounds in those 2 weeks. I went from 270 pounds to 245. I had metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, triglycerides and blood sugar) and my labs have all normalized. This is just the beginning of my journey and I am so grateful. I have been on this diet for 1 month and plan to do it for the rest of my life. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. I also check my blood ketones daily to make sure I am in ketosis, usually between 3-5 ml. All of my mental health issues have been put into remission as well as my life long psoriasis that covered my face and scalp.

Thank you Shawn Baker for having the courage to speak the truth. You have saved my life and the lives of future generations by sharing this knowledge. I plan to share my story to try and help heal others who are needlessly suffering. There are no words to express my gratitude.

Nanci heals from osteopenia on the carnivore diet

Hello my name is Nanci.  I am 66 years old a mother of 4 with one wonderful stepson and a grandmother of 9.  I was an RN and retired in 2016.  I have been married to a wonderful man for 43 years and for many years has served also a pastor’s wife for over 30 years.

For as long as I can remember food has been a huge part of my life.  I practiced using it for comfort early on.  I first started a weight loss program when I was in high school.  Weight Watchers.  I weighed 140 lbs and was 5’8” tall.  I have always loved sweets.  I ate homemade meals growing up but also processed foods.  My weight really started to climb when I started having children in my 20’s.  I got as high as 275 when I was carrying my third child.  I went back down to 220 and through the years crept up to over 300 lbs with the highest being 312 Lbs.

I have tried over 20 diets in my lifetime but have never been able to stay on them for longer than one month at a time.  The diets were always low fat high carb diets.  I was starving on them.  I have been Carnivore for over 2.5 years that is still unbelievable to me.

In 2016 I retired because my knees were so painful.  I needed knee replacements.  I could no longer work.  I have cerebral palsy so my condition was more complicated and finally went out on disability.  Around the same time I heard about the Keto diet.  Diet Dr was all over the internet so I started following their approach to weight loss.  I also listened to Dr Westman a Cardiologist out of North Carolina and Keto United a group out of West Virginia.  I lost weight like a rock.  Other benefits were: two weeks into the diet, arthritic pain was gone.  One month on the diet the 3+ edema in my legs was gone and two months into the diet my stasis ulcers were all healed up and I no longer had to wear surgical stockings.  I had a terrible fungal infection under my toe nails and it took two years to heal but that finally is completely gone.

After a few years I found I could not loose anymore weight on keto.  I know now it was because I was having too much plant sugar and keto treats.  I also enjoyed listening to Dr Ken Berry and Neisha, his wife.  They made keto simple.  Then fortunately for me I discovered Dr Baker on Joe Rogan and he was talking about the Carnivore diet.  So I started listening to him and his VIP guests.

In January of 2020, Shawn started a Carnivore challenge for the month of January and in March of 2020 I joined MeatRx, now Revero.  The varied meetings are so informative and the coaches are amazing.  They taught me so much and I soaked up the meetings and learned so much from the coaches and community.

I initially gained weight on the Carnivore diet.  I was in a panic but Shawn’s platform and the coaching that I received there helped me stay on a steady course.  I learned that often we have to heal from the inside out first and that was certainly true for me.  At the beginning of 2020 I was diagnosed with osteopenia.  I was also pretty debilitated mostly sitting in my chair at home.  Shawn encouraged me to exercise just a little at a time but to stay faithful.  I would do my very simple workouts while I was involved watching the Zoom meetings.  People were so encouraging.
Approximately one year on carnivore I had to get down on the floor because I dropped a control under the bed.  I previously would never try to get down on my knees because I could never get up without assistance but no one was home to help me.  I was able to get down and up again without difficulty, something I had not been able to do for over 15 years.   It encouraged me to stay faithful.  I also had a coach, Stephen Thomas aka The UK Carnivore, who helped target my exercise to help with my specific weaknesses as well as coach me with the carnivore way of eating.
Just before starting carnivore I was diagnosed with Osteopenia.  I got another dexiscan  approximately two years later and it showed no osteopenia.  I also got a Calcium (CAC) test that shows the buildup of plaque in and around your heart arteries and my score was zero.  I was over the moon.
When people ask me if I will continue with Carnivore Diet or go back to the Standard American Diet I always answer “There is nothing to go back to”.  I have never felt so good.

Reagan heals from stuttering, stress, anxiety, pain, aches, dizziness, sleep, insomnia, obesity

Before the carnivore diet I was suffering with chronic depression, stress,  and anxiety. I would have panic attacks at night constantly along with sleep insomnia. All throughout my younger years it would take me 5-8 hours to fall asleep as i couldn’t fall asleep no matter the medication.  I sufferd with asthma as well; all throughout my life I was being rushed to hospitals in the middle of the night because i couldn’t breathe and my rescue inhaler wouldn’t work.

Later in life in my teenage years was when the depression started. I tried ending my life on multiple occasions. Along with the stress, depression, and panic attacks at night, I also was suffering with chronic pain, head to toes. I had migrains and headaches almost every day non-stop. My joints were always killing me. I took pain killers all the time and nothing seemed to work. I was at even balding as a teenager and had horrible skin, I broke out bad.

The heaviest I got up to was 258 pounds. I was obese and suffering. Although not diagnosed by a doctor, my blood pressure would shoot up when I tested it, and I would get so dizzy that I would literally fall it was just random spikes throughout the day. I knew something was off when everything around me started spinning.

I also have been stuttering since I first began talking and went to speech thearpy from before i was even in school to 7th grade. Eventually I stopped trying; I just figured I would be stuttering foerver.

With carnivore my depression has completely gone away. My stress, anxiety, pain, aches, dizziness, sleep, insomnia, and obesity are all gone. My stuttering has improved drastically. I stutter only once in a while now, whereas before it was every single word. I haven’t had any asthma attacks or breathing problems since going on this diet over 2 years ago . My hair grows like weeds now. Also, no more balding, no more skin issues, just everything is amazing and I’m no longer suffering.

Kelly Heals From Hashimoto’s With Ketovore Diet

I’ve always held health and fitness as top priorities in my life; very active and played sports growing up; I continued to lift weight and workout throughout my adult life. My diet has always been a standard american diet with a mixture of “healthy” veggie based and fruit forward foods. Never thought my diet was a huge contributor to my health since I’ve always been a petite, fit body type; I was more focused on exercise as the path to health. From 2019-2020 I began feeling “off” (brain fog, extreme fatigue) and finally got a comprehensive lab panel done in August 2020. The results were that my thyroid hormones were off and thyroid antibodies were very high. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos and went on NP Thyriod, and told to go on a elimination diet, then migrate to a paleo type diet. I saw immediate health improvement, felt amazing, and eventually decided to restrict myself to no sugar and no grains, leaning more into mostly eating animal proteins. I continued to feel massive improvements in my gut health, as well as my mental and overall health, no real Hashimotos symptoms any longer. As I continued to feel improvement in my Hashimotos symptoms, I explored the idea of only eating meat via Dr. Ken Berry and his wife, Neisha, who was able to fully manage her Hashimotos via a ketovore diet. I’ve been able to manage my Hashimotos symptoms and continue to heal my gut issues with this way of eating!

Claire heals microscopic colitis on the carnivore diet

I am 66 years young, and have 4 adult children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.  I am blessed!  I live in the Bay of Plenty Tauranga New Zealand.

My health issues really began in my early years.  I grew up on a high carb/sugar diet and eventually learned to control my weight with calorie restriction sometimes as low as 700 calories a day.  My weight would fluctuate between 7 1/2  to 9 1/2 stone during my 20’s – 40’s.  I realize now my body was starving for nutrients, and I was continually hungry.

I became interested in healthy eating during my 20’s and by my 30’s I developed gut issues like bloating and discomfort, then developed acid reflux during my pregnancies which continued afterwards. I tried to heal these stomach issues by introducing more healthy foods like home-made yogurt, home -made bread (including grinding my own flour from grain) and eliminating refined sugar and ate low fat.  This helped for a while.  But as I got older I found I had to eliminate many more foods. Firstly coffee, then  gluten and some vegetables.    I included meat in my diet as I did not agree with the vegan philosophy, which began with Seventh Day Adventist ideology which totally ignores much of Scripture where God approves the eating of meat.  However I generally ate meat in small portions.

By 2020 I was having to eliminate many more foods as my adverse reaction to many foods was increasing. I had now eliminated everything except, rice, rice-cakes, eggs, broccoli, capsicum, fish, and meat. My symptoms intensified until I finally developed microscopic colitis.   I lost a lot of weight although I was already thin.  I became very concerned as although I tried to function normally, not wanting to tell anyone of my embarrassing condition, I could not leave the house unless I had not eaten at least 6 hours prior. Finally after months of trying to remedy it on my own I went to the Dr and was tested for giardia, and for any bacterial infection.  He did blood tests also, but nothing was revealed. Eventually my doctor suspected microscopic colitis.  I did not want to go on steroid medication and told my Dr I would like to try to find another solution first.  I didn’t know how I was going to achieve this, but while in the supermarket during my weekly shop I was suddenly aware of the fact that there was nothing there I could eat.  So I prayed desperately right there (silently) and said “God what can I eat?”  As I was leaving with an empty trolley, I felt ‘impressed’ to go back and buy a cooked chicken.  It did not appeal to me as I felt nauseous, but I purchased it anyway.   Over the next couple of days I forced myself to eat it, but I still felt so sick.  However it got me thinking that if God had indeed impressed on me to buy it,  then it was for good reason.  So I began researching about meat which thankfully led me to discover Carnivore eating.

I began eating just meat and rice, thinking I needed the carbs for energy as I  suddenly developed extreme fatigue.  But after two weeks I decided to stop the rice and do Carnivore properly.  Amazingly….within 24 hours my chronic symptoms ceased.  Just stopped!  I could not believe it!

Since then I have learned the benefit of including more fat, salt and the inclusion of magnesium via foot soaks to relieve leg cramps.   I thrive on fatty lamb,  and eat some beef each day.  At this stage I don’t eat butter but would like to include it again soon.

During the 6 months I’ve been fully carnivore I’ve had one flare-up with symptoms when I introduced egg yolk back into my diet.  So I quickly eliminated that.  My fatigue is gone and most days I feel great.  I’d say I am 95% healed,  and am hopeful the Raynaud’s symptoms I have will heal too.

Many thanks

Claire

Ex-Plant Eater Josie Defeats Ulcerative Colitis

When Josie stumbled across a PETA tent at the tender age of 13, she was so moved by their content that she became a vegan overnight. Fast forward ten years later, and her health was going downhill—fast. After being admitted to the hospital multiple times, she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis—a painful inflammatory disease of the digestive tract. The next four years she desperately tried to find a cure within the parameters of a vegan diet, but it eluded her. Finally—after years of suffering—she started to wonder if the vegan diet she so ardently believed in might be the problem.

Initially diagnosed with diverticulitis in her early twenties, Josie’s symptoms manifested as blood in her stool, fatigue, urgent diarrhea multiple times a day, and a constant low-grade fever. Six months after that, she found herself hospitalized with potassium levels so low—that had she waited even one more day—the doctor said she could have died. Josie was put on prednisone, which helped keep her symptoms at bay, but as she continued to tinker with her plant-based diet to heal herself—a flare-up would inevitably follow.

Four years later, a death in the family coupled with the sense of an impending hospitalization forced Josie to reckon with the idea that perhaps veganism wasn’t for her anymore. Throughout the years, her doctors rarely discussed her diet. Ironically, one actually told her to steer clear of meat and dairy—reinforcing her preconceived notion that they were bad for her health. Within a month—one month—of reintroducing animal products to her diet, her ulcerative colitis symptoms disappeared. Now, healthy and brimming with vitality at the age of 27, she extols the virtues of an animal-based diet on social media, happily sharing her story of transformation—and sounding the alarm bell to anyone considering a vegan diet.

Never the type to criticize those who ate meat around her—Josie admits it was still a bit uncomfortable telling her family and friends she was no longer a vegan. “It was hard in that sense because it was kind of admitting to everybody that I was wrong, because including animal products in my diet again healed my colitis.”  Josie says her family and friends were understanding and compassionate, and any hate she receives these days is from vegans who are unhappy with her newfound message of “meat heals.”

Another incredible side effect that Josie experienced on the carnivore diet? She says her mental acuity and self-esteem are through the roof. When asked if she would ever consider being vegan again, her answer is an unequivocal “No!”

“Seeing the way that my life-threatening autoimmune disorder has reversed itself…and every other health issue that I’ve had has completely turned around…I can only determine that this is my natural diet.” She hopes her story will be able to help others who may be going through similar health struggles. “People who shared their ex-vegan story…it helped me when I was considering not being vegan anymore. That was what made me want to share my story.”

Sami Manages Stage 4 Colon Cancer With A Meat Diet

I am Sami from Japan.
I am or was a terminal stage 4 colon cancer patient.
A Carnivorous diet helped save my life.
I’m writing this email because I would like to help people who have the same condition by sharing my story.

Let me tell you about my colon cancer survival by meat only diet story.

I was a vegan since I was 6 years old. I developed a severe eating disorder at the aged 15. The reason for such ,was due to my self abusing of horrendously amount of laxatives on an everyday basis. I now believe that what caused the onset of my illness, was fiber and laxatives.
Having had bulimic years for 35 years I finally concurred my eating disorder.
In 2016 I started keto diet. My health in general improved by it yet still I was constipated.
In 2018 June I finally I dove into carnivorous diet. I really liked it. My bloating issue was almost cured at least I thought.

In 2021 March there was a lot of publicity about microbion in the gut.
I was convinced by the idea of ‘feeding my gut’ theory.
I started to incorporate vegetables into my diet. Of course all my gastrointestinal symptoms made a comeback. But I pushed it believing that my gut was going to adjust to new fibrous environment.
In 2021 April 7th, after eating some mushrooms I had dull yet uneasy sensation in my stomach.
Next morning I went to our neighbor’s hospital but they couldn’t finger out. I was sent to one of the biggest hospitals where they gave me a diagnosis of stage 4 colorectal cancer metastasized liver.

I had an intensive operation following chemotherapy. I was dying and hospitalized. But I didn’t eat hospital food looking rubbish. I ate meat secretly. I kept carnivorous diet during my hospitalization.

When my medical team discovered reoccurrence of cancer in my liver l sent an email to Professor Seyfried.
It states,

Dear Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried,

I am writing this because I am going to have to decide on my cancer treatment.
My name is Masami, 48years old female from Japan.
I had an enormous surgery in May this year. I had my accenting colon, one-fourth of the liver, appendix, and four lymph nodes taken out.
Three months later, they found another cancer cell growth in the liver.
I have been on chemotherapy since July. It’s so tough.
My surgeon is thinking that she has to give me another operation at the end of the year or January 2022 following stronger chemo.
I don’t think it will extend my life in a meaningful way.

I have watched several YouTube videos where you explain the cancer metabolism theory which I am impressed with.
I have been on a keto / carnivore diet for more than 5 years. My glucose level is well controlled. I am thinking of buying keto mojo. But I am not sure how much Gluconeogenesis is influencing cancer growth.
When it comes to Glutamine, without pharmaceutical intervention, I don’t think I can reduce the level from my system.

I would appreciate it if you could suggest any supplements or medications to create the condition where I can starve the cancer cells.

Kind regards,
Sami

He kindly replied to me with piles of documents for me to study. Suggestions were given.
Some of which I did.
Actually I couldn’t follow deep keto.
Because I’m lifting weight and it’s my passion. My performance was compromised by the therapeutic level of ketosis.

I started to bump up my meat intake. I have been eating 120-180g of protein a day for more than 6 months while I took MRI twice to check my cancer cells. The results showed that cancer cells in my liver didn’t change their size AT ALL.
My surgeon always said that she would give me another surgery but my cancer cells are too small.
Professor Seyfried’s theory and the nutritionist who Professor referred me are not big fun of high protein intake.
But I gave high meat consumption a try and It’s been successful.
MEAT DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER.
MEAT DOES NOT HINDER CANCER TREATMENT.

I don’t think what works for me works for everyone cancer patient.
But it is much more effective than surgeries, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
I’m eating eggs and grinded meat.
I go to the gym at 4:00 am and lifting weights.

Could l help people who are devastated cancer patients realize that carnivorous diet is clinically healthy way to fight the cancer?
