Sara lost weight and improved her menstrual cramping on a carnivore diet

I have been Keto since Feb 2018 and I started Carnivore October 2019. I lost 30lbs on Keto (160lbs-130lbs), then gained 10lbs back when I went to a more Keto/Paleo diet to maintain. Since October I have lost the 10lbs I gained back (I can’t seem to drop below 130lbs, but I suspect cutting out alcohol and actually exercising would help). Digestive wise, I am better now than on Keto. I no longer have gas, bloating, or indigestion. I only go to the bathroom every 3-4 days and it doesn’t seem to smell as bad and there isn’t as much.

I will say I am much more sensitive to non-meat food though. I used to be able to eat something non-keto (like corn tortillas) and be ok. Now, if I slip, my digestion really suffers, almost immediately. I don’t know if this is good or bad. It keeps me eating only meat and cheese, but it makes it hard to go out to eat.

I also seem to have yeast infections a lot. I’ve never had them in my life, but since I was keto and now carnivore I seem to have one once a month or so. I also have endometriosis and will have 5 days of heavy menstruation with two days following with very light. I have horrible cramping for the first 3 days. It got better when I started Keto and the started increasing again when I went to more Paleo. The first cycle on Carnivore was horrible, but the second was only 3 days total with no cramping. In fact, it actually surprised me when it came! That hasn’t happened in my entire life. Hopefully next cycle is the same.

I do still drink red wine from Dry Farms Wines and sometimes I will have a Whiteclaw.  I put notes on the left side of my lab results with what diet I was on at the time of the tests. I hope this is enough info. Let me know if you need anything else! I’m very happy to help.
