Marcelo improved gut health, OCD, mental health, and skin on carnivore diet

Before becoming a carnivore, Marcelo was a vegan, a raw vegan and also tried Keto for a time until realizing that these ways of eating gave him problems such as gut health issues, diarrhea, bloating, acne, OCD, lack of mental clarity, mental health, skin issues and headaches. He determined that for him, certain foods like plants, nuts and Keto sweets were likely the cause of these issues.

After learning more about nutrition, he became a carnivore and decided that it provided solutions to his dietary problems. Ground-beef patties, bacon, other cuts of pork and cream fit well into his eating regimen as they help to keep him satisfied between meals. His strength has improved greatly, especially when training.

Marcelo says some people feel the carnivore lifestyle is boring but his experience is quite the opposite. He’s quite happy achieving satiety by eating burgers and only eating when hungry. He really wants to help others and hopes that they will watch his video and become inspired to let him help them.

Hana improves mental health on a carnivore diet

Hana is a naturopathic physician working and living in the Hawaiian islands. She’s struggled a lot with her own addictions to carbs, with mental health conditions and with bipolar depression.

While still in high school, her upbringing as it pertains to food involved a little bit of meat and lots of vegetables including a lot of wheat based food products. She only determined later that she had a subtle neurologic reaction to wheat causing her to spend a lot of her high school years mildly depressed and tired. This led to compulsive overeating which she equates with carb addiction and food addiction.

At her greatest weight, she checked in at 178 lbs. In college, she tried different things like becoming gluten-free, going low-carb and going paleo. She also discovered the Atkins diet and and as a result was able to drop most of her excess weight. She surprised herself with how much better she felt on a low-carb, mostly carnivore eating regimen which also included intermittent fasting.

“We all have to figure out what works for us. Some people can get away with a lot more (variation in their diet) and some people can’t”, says Hana. A diet based on animal products also helped her to deal with atypical seasonal affective disorder, bipolar type 2 depression, persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia) and circadian light sensitivity.

Hana wants to help others find what works for them in the same way that she has found what works for her.

Leri drastically improves mental clarity on carnivore diet

From sceptic to believer

Leri was initially a skeptic when he first heard about the carnivore diet since it conflicted with what he thought he knew about cholesterol. After being on the diet and realizing the benefits, he doesn’t see cons anymore, only pros.

Mental clarity, mood stability, calmness, peace, less anxiety and more rational thinking are benefits Leri now enjoys after becoming carnivore. In addition, his bouts with back pain, skin issues and autoimmune conditions have improved significantly.

Even no coffee

Some people have difficulties with oxalate dumping. Leri feels that steering away from plants including drinking coffee were key to his being able to overcome this obstacle. His workouts have become more enjoyable. He feels a natural energy that is stimulating and he is more stable emotionally.

Humans are not meant to eat plants

I don’t believe humans can thrive on a plant-based diet, I just don’t believe it” says Leri. “I’m convinced that we thrive on a meat heavy diet.” He seems to practice what he preaches by consuming up to 15 eggs per day, liver, steak and butter. Leri feels that … “if you don’t train you’re gonna lose your muscle”. It’s like the old saying about many things … use it or lose it.

Leri shares his experiences in the hope that others will be helped along the way.

Bechelli improves arthritis on a carnivore diet

For Bechelli, a severe and sudden attack of pain and swelling in her right hand rudely awakened her one morning. She could hardly move her hand. Perhaps all the arthritis in her body had moved into her hand, she thought. “It felt like somebody had smashed it with a brick”, she said. She used her left hand to manually move the right hand fingers so they wouldn’t become stiff. The pain was so bad, she thought that bones in her hand had become broken.

She had a doctor’s appointment regular checkup scheduled for a few days later so she decided to take all inflammatory foods out of her diet: eat only meat and salad until then. Certainly the doctor would want to X-ray her hand. She kept up the meat and salad regimen and was feeling a little better each day.

Her doctor’s appointment that was only a few days away was postponed for another week. Then after a week, was postponed another month! She kept up the meat and salad routine and felt her hand getting better and better by the day. She came to the realization that what she was doing was something close to a Keto diet in which she became very interested because it kept the inflammation away. “I only take one pill and that is a thyroid pill. I’m thinking that my thyroid may have been hampered sometime in my life by dental X-rays” but she can’t be 100% sure of that.

Meanwhile, she attended a free seminar on autophagy presented by a lady at a local health food store. The speaker explained how the healing process had begun in her own body, noticing improvements each day. The benefits of intermittent fasting, eating only twice per day and cutting out snacking were emphasized. Bechelli thought that would be easy to do so both she and her husband decided to give it a try. She also realized that on a Keto plan, she could eat a lot more than just meat and salad. It reached a point where she wanted to take the next step and move up to a carnivore diet, at least to try it for a week. Himalayan salt became her friend as it helped her to stave off hunger and it also helped with the relief of muscle cramps in her feet and calves.

So, it seems that both the Keto and carnivore eating plans have helped her alleviate a number of health issues. Bechelli hopes her story will help others.

Kajta improves bipolar, ADHD, Aspergers, arthritis on carnivore diet

Katja started the carnivore diet in December of 2018 and believes that it saved her life.

Her depression and anxiety levels had reached a severe level. She feared losing her job due to repeated long-term absences. She became a recluse and wasn’t able to leave her home. She disliked being around people or getting anything done. She spent a year talking to her doctors trying to get an assessment for ADHD and Asperger’s syndrome among her other conditions.

She started becoming depressed about age 12. Friendships, family relationships and school became really difficult for her. To complicate matters further, Katja is dislexic which went unrecognized in her school system until the 80’s and 90’s. Her depression was undiagnosed until age 23. Her doctors cycled her through different drugs and drug combinations trying to find answers which none of them provided. So, by age 26 she had tried a multitude of drugs and therapies with no real results.

Finally, she developed a headache lasing 3 months which once again drove her to doctors who said they couldn’t help her. Eventually, she had to figure it out all on her own.

As an experiment, she stopped eating gluten and found that the headache had left her. This was the first time that she fixed a health problem by adjusting her food intake. Even so, she remained naive about what she had discovered. In an effort to overcome her conditions, she tried eating organic vegetables only to find that her hands would not function properly. This was devastating news to Katja who is an artist. She then discovered Mikhaila Peterson.

“I’ve already read about her in her dad’s book 12 rules for life which made me understand and trust what this girl was saying instantly” said Katja. She also came across Amber O’Hearn whom she felt was full of amazing information about diet and wellness. A colleague who had also switched on to the carnivore lifestyle impressed Katja so much that she thought she’d give it a try.

“I jumped right in … I started carnivore straight away. I had keto flu symptoms for about six weeks and they were pretty hard for me.” She started to feel great and is still getting better over a year later. She now advocates this diet on her instagram account. She tells stories from the background of her life to make people understand that depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other immune illnesses are not life sentences. There is actually a way out.

Katja is now a certified Revero carnivore coach and encourages others to contact her so she can help them change their lives and health stories too.

Callan improved energy, dental health and muscle tone on carnivore diet

I am 23 years old and have tried many diets. Even though I have never had any serious health issues, after going carnivore (eating grain fed beef, kangaroo, eggs and sardines) I have noticed the following improvements:

  • It is easier than ever to build muscle and lose fat simultaneously without tracking how much I eat. For the first time I trust my appetite and there are no issues. In the picture where I look fatter I was eating paleo OMAD and was continuing to gain weight. In the picture where I am leaner I eat carnivore meals as frequently as I feel like.
  • Minor acne has disappeared.
  • My breathe no longer smells and my severe gum inflammation has healed.
  • I have no joint pain even though I exercise quite recklessly. My knee pain continued eating carnivore until I eliminated dairy and then my knee healed very rapidly.
  • My energy levels are stable throughout the entire day and I feel well rested after less sleep.
  • This one is potentially biased but my hair has become darker and fuller

Mandy solves chronic throat pain, regains singing voice through Carnivore Diet

Mandy is a professional musician and theater artist. During an intense rehearsal, she developed severe throat pain. It was painful for her to speak but the pain wasn’t in her vocal chords, it was at the top of her esophagus and felt more like a throat infection. Over time, the pain got progressively worse until she couldn’t continue on with the shows. Weeks turned into months and even after a year, she could only speak a word or two per day without aggravating her pain. Mandy was challenged both emotionally and physically because of the pain: an excruciating burning sensation all day long. She felt as if she had neither friends, nor a life so she stayed indoors living in isolation.

During this time, she saw approximately 30 different doctors who, in her mind, neither had a clue as to what was going on nor did they know what to do. The ones who did provide some sort of response said it was something irrelevant, that is, maybe she should try medication for depression or take a steroid to snort into her nose. She felt it was pointless. She didn’t bother with any medication because she knew it wasn’t the problem. The problem was the pain that no one understood. She became extremely depressed.

She finally took matters into her own hands. She tried every single diet that she could in an effort to find some relief. Several of them were unsuccessful. She would eat but then would be hungry right afterwards. She felt as if she could eat twice more but yet still feel hungry. She cut out sugar for a bit and that actually seemed to help a little. That was the first time she felt any sort of relief so she knew that diet was going to help.

Her friend kept messaging her about the carnivore diet so she decided to give it a shot. It actually didn’t take too long to get used to it. Visiting a naturopathic doctor, she underwent a test and was found to have heavy metal toxicity.

After trying virtually everything else possible, she found that being on the carnivore diet actually started to show results. She started to see the pain subside in her throat. Slowly she began to say more words, then small conversations. After six months, she’s now able to have conversations and sing. “It’s just such a relief to be able to have social interactions with people and to be able to express yourself through words.”

She’s learned a lot from being on this diet, things like learning about the basics of health and how important it is to fuel our bodies with quality food that we are supposed to be eating to give us energy. Because of the carnivore diet, she no longer craves sugar and is able to go the entire day feeling satisfied and not feeling hungry. She’s also 14 months sober as she overcame a binge drinking problem. The carnivore diet also helps her to feel more secure in her sobriety. She looks forward to continuing on with a more positive quality of life. She sees things more clearly now and it has helped big-time with her anxiety.

Mandy loves the diet and would like to thank everyone in the carnivore community for all of the available support. “I feel like as carnivores we are part of something really powerful.”

Debbie overcomes eating disorder through Carnivore Diet

At 54 years young, Debbie was bulimic most of her life from about age 19. She finally found food freedom starting with keto but would still have some bad days because as she puts it, one can still overeat on keto snacks. She then moved to keto-carnivore which helped her to cure 30 plus years of dealing with her eating disorder.

Debbie then started to realize that there are some anti-nutrients in plants which we don’t need as once thought. The science of all this resonated with her since she is a physician’s assistant.

For a time, she followed the Atkins diet plan. All her friends told her that doing so would cause her to die of a heart attack. She now knows that sugar is the main cause of coronary artery disease. After being on the keto-carnivore eating plan, she honestly has never felt better after curing her 30-plus year bulimic behavior. “There’s no more binging because as you know, it’s very hard to over eat too much meat.” She enjoys eating about 2 pounds of meat each day and absolutely loves it. Aches, pains and menopausal symptoms are gone. She is an avid tennis player and now has the stamina to play matches and be victorious against opponents who are much younger!

Debbie says she that at age 54, she has never looked or felt better. A recent body mass index test shows that she is 19 percent body fat. She hopes to take the test again soon and that it will show improvement in her score.

Debbie is still working as a physician’s assistant and is a huge fan of Dr. Shawn Baker. She wants to spread the word and help others by sharing her story.
