Make sure you read the ingredients on your cream cheese! In Australia, Philly cheese is filled with inedible fibres like locust bean and other crap that shouldn’t be eaten. Suggest a yoghurt cheese or other type of cheese might be better?
Made it several times. Both my husband and I love it! Thank you!
Fantastic, easy to prepare, very filling, and tasty! I added a few crumbles of Feta cheese on top (after baking…should’ve added before I took it out of the oven). If you eat cheese, a little shredded cheese would go great sprinkled over the top after coming out of the oven, also. I ended up eating about half of the dish in one sitting.
Tips: Watch the time and make sure the center of the casserole is cooked thoroughly; mine was still a bit “liquidy” at 30 mins. Also, my 9-inch pyrex pie dish was full-to-the-brim with the mixture before baking. You might consider putting a cookie sheet underneath it in the oven, if you’re in the same spot (or using a slightly larger pie tin, etc.).
Is there a way to make this recipe without dairy? I am highly allergic to all dairy.
Just eggs and beef, it might be to dry?
thanks
