Carnivore Cooking Tips And Tricks

For cooking you can use animal fats such as tallow, lard, duck fat, etc. Add extra fat to lean cuts of meat for flavor. If you tolerate dairy you can add ghee, butter, cheese, or cream.

Ways of cooking meat include grill, air fryer, pan fry, oven roast, sear, sous vide, slow cooker, or pressure cooker. Getting an air fryer can make your life easier. To do carnivore on a budget you can eat burger patties instead of steaks.

Organ Meats

You can include organs in your diet only if you enjoy them. We have seen success on the carnivore diet with and without eating organ meats.

Less optimal foods

It is best to limit dairy, eggs, and processed or cured meats because they can create inflammation. The main meal should be actual meat.

Eating out and traveling on the carnivore diet

Many restaurants have an “a la carte” option: they can charge you for the meats only. the chances are there is always a burger chain nearby to order multiple burger patties. You can also add cheese or bacon. If you live in the U.S. chipotle is a good option to order multiple sides of meat.

If you are traveling and you prefer to cook steaks you can carry a souse vide device with you and to cook delicious slow roasted prime rib. No oven needed and there is no smoke. Just put a steak in a sealed bag and let it cook in hot water for a couple if hours.
