Boris: Dietician Was Desperate For Relief, How He Took Back His Health

Imagine being 30 years old, a trained dietician, and a competitive bodybuilder, yet feeling so lethargic you can barely function. This was Boris’s life in Belgium. On the outside, he looked like the picture of health; on the inside, he was a walking catalog of chronic illness.

Boris didn’t just have one or two issues—he had a dozen. From chronic sinusitis that required four acute treatments a year to sleep apnea, IBS, hypertension, and systemic tendonitis, Boris was “pretty desperate.” He was the man who once spent a day in the office filling a coffee cup with post-nasal drip just to keep from choking.

The Failure of “Healthy” Eating

As a Registered Dietitian, Boris followed the standard guidelines religiously: high carb, low fat, and plenty of “clean” fuel like oatmeal, rice, and broccoli. But his body was screaming for something else.

His IBS became so severe he ended up in the ER after going seven days without a bowel movement. His reflux was so constant he spent four years on high-dose PPIs. Despite his degree and his disciplined lifestyle, Boris felt like a “burnout” at 29. The medical advice he received was always the same: “Take this pill,” or “Use this machine.” No one—not even his fellow nutritionists—suggested that the very food he was trained to recommend was the source of his misery.

The “Sudden Blue Sky”

In 2020, Boris decided to stop listening to the guidelines and start listening to his biology. He transitioned from Keto to a strict Carnivore diet—beef, butter, bacon, and eggs.

The first few weeks were a struggle, but then came week four. “It was like this sudden blue sky,” Boris remembers. “All the brain fog lifted. I had a cognitive, clear-minded energy that I couldn’t remember having for 20 years.”

The results were across the board:

  • Remission of All Ailments: The sinusitis, the IBS, the hypertension, and even the restless legs simply vanished.
  • The “Unbreakable” Recovery: Boris recently suffered a complete distal biceps tendon rupture—a devastating injury for a bodybuilder and police officer. While surgeons predicted six months of recovery, Boris was back in the gym in 10 weeks. His physical therapist, who had 60 sessions planned, sent him home after just eight, saying, “I have no idea what to do for you; it’s going so well.”
  • Infinite Energy: Today, Boris trains in a completely fasted state, feeling an “unlimited source of energy” that far surpasses his high-carb bodybuilding days.

From Skeptic to Success

Now serving on the police force, Boris is often the subject of awe (and occasional teasing) from his younger colleagues. While they struggle with joint pain and “grain-eater” lethargy, Boris—approaching 40—is outperforming them in sprints, combat training, and shooting.

He carries his “meatloaf and dozens of eggs” to team-building events, unfazed by the skeptics. For Boris, the proof isn’t in a textbook; it’s in the fact that he no longer needs a cup to clear his throat or a pill to digest his food.

“I was skeptical. I tried it for three or four months and I just did not return, even though that was the plan. I just stuck to it.”
