Kimberly: Defying a 1% Survival Chance

In 2022, just four months after giving birth to her second child, Kimberly’s life was upended. After suffering sudden nocturnal seizures—biting through her tongue in her sleep—an emergency CT scan revealed a Grade 4 Astrocytoma, an aggressive, highly malignant form of brain cancer.

She underwent emergency brain surgery to resect the primary tumor. Hoping for a full recovery, she subsequently endured five weeks of intense radiation—resulting in permanent hair loss—and eight months of aggressive chemotherapy.

However, during her eighth month of chemotherapy, follow-up imaging delivered a devastating blow:

  • Inoperable Tumor Recurrence: A new tumor had formed in the deep center of her brain, completely out of reach for surgical resection.
  • Terminal Prognosis: Oncologists informed Kimberly that further conventional treatment would only offer palliative care. They gave her less than a 1% chance of long-term survival and advised her to get her affairs in order, estimating she had less than a year to live.
  • Quality of Life Collapse: The chemotherapy left her bedridden, severely overweight, exhausted, and unable to care for her one-year-old and four-month-old children.

“My oncologists told me that changing my diet or taking supplements wouldn’t matter—that nothing could fix this,” Kimberly recalls. “They told me I had less than a year. But I had two tiny babies at home, and I refused to give up without trying everything.”

The Shift to Metabolic Starvation of Cancer

Anchored in her faith and determined to see her children grow up, Kimberly made the choice to stop conventional chemotherapy against medical advice.

Having spent months researching the metabolic theory of cancer—specifically how high-glycemic carbohydrates and dietary sugars fuel aggressive tumor growth—she recognized that the fastest way to starve her tumor of glucose was a strict, zero-plant Carnivore protocol.

She built a simplified daily regimen centered on ground beef, eggs, butter, salt, water, and raw garlic, while incorporating targeted antiparasitic protocols, and prayer:

Biological Reset & Full Cancer Remission

The biological shift following the removal of all dietary sugars and processed carbohydrates produced an unexpected clinical outcome:

  • TUMOR SHRINKAGE AT 8 MONTHS: For eight months, doctors monitored the central brain mass. By the eighth month, follow-up MRI scans revealed that the inoperable tumor had begun to shrink rapidly. Her oncologists admitted they had no clinical explanation for the reversal.
  • COMPLETE CANCER-FREE REMISSION: Exactly one year after beginning her protocol, diagnostic imaging showed that the tumor had vanished completely.
  • FOUR CONSECUTIVE CLEAN SCANS: Kimberly has since logged four consecutive clean, tumor-free brain MRIs, officially achieving complete clinical remission.
  • SEIZURE RESOLUTION & EEG CLEARANCE: Follow-up electroencephalograms (EEGs) confirmed no remaining seizure activity, allowing her to safely discontinue daily anti-seizure medications.
  • REMISSION OF HIDRADENITIS SUPPURATIVA (HS): Beyond her brain tumor, Kimberly achieved complete remission from lifelong, painful skin boils (HS), which clear entirely on carnivore and flare if plant anti-nutrients are re-introduced.
  • 100-POUND WEIGHT LOSS: Over her recovery, Kimberly lost nearly 100 pounds of excess weight gained during pregnancy and chemotherapy.

Living Beyond the Odds

Today, Kimberly lives in Illinois, homeschooling her two boys, running, leading worship at her local church, and remaining cancer-free without ongoing chemotherapy or radiation.

Reflecting on her journey, Kimberly sees her transformation as a blend of medical courage, faith, and metabolic alignment.

“They told me I had less than a 1% chance and wasn’t supposed to make it past 2024. Switching to carnivore deprived the tumor of sugar, dropped 100 pounds, and today I have four completely clean brain scans. I’m here to raise my children.”
