Irina overcame candida infection, vitamin D deficiency, and vasculitis on a carnivore diet

Years of Chronic Illnesses

Irina struggled with many different ailments before she found the carnivore diet diet. She had Candida, IBS, a vitamin D deficiency since birth, bleeding gums, vasculitis that manifested when she was a teenager, PCOS, chronic inflammation, and exercise induced asthma. Her doctors told her, “this is just how it is, some people are just affected with these things.” Irina was in her mid-20’s and didn’t want to accept this, so she tried to approach her problems with nutrition.

Before starting her carnivore diet, Irina tried vegetarian, pescatarian, a veggie and meat combination diet, and keto. The keto diet caused her to gain weight and have digestive problems. She thinks now that it was because she ate too many nuts and nut products and veggies with fiber. All that fiber gave her painful bloating. Also, she never felt satisfied and had to eat constantly throughout the day.

None of these diets helped her various ailments. She continued to have IBS, joint pain from inflammation (swollen ankles or knees) and asthma with lots of coughing when she exercised, a cyst on her ovary, Candida flares, chronically low vitamin D, gums that bled when she flossed, and vasculitis.

Fed Up Taking Medications

Dealing with her candida flares, the PCOS, and her other conditions came to a head when Irina was 31. She became “fed up with doctors just trying to give me medication.”

She believes that the body is designed to be healthy and she was doing something that prevented it from working properly. “I just wanted to find what it was.” At this point she decided to try the carnivore diet because she “was already kind of a hot mess.”

Her Husband Introduces Irina to the Diet

About two months before she did, Irina’s husband started the diet. She saw his eczema clear up, and this made an impression. In May of 2020 her husband showed her Dr. Baker’s podcast with Joe Rogan and she thought, “I have to try this. I have nothing to lose.”

Life After the New Way of Eating

Irina says she gets full and eats less than before. She enjoys eggs and bacon or natural sausage for lunch and various meats for dinner—pork, cheaper cuts of beef for slow-cooking, lamb, liver once a week, and sometimes chicken thighs. She enjoys the simplicity of the carnivore diet because there are few ingredients and meals are easy to prepare.

Irina now exercises about four days per week doing weight training and high intensity workouts without asthma, joint pain or swelling, and with faster recovery.

An ultrasound at the end of 2020 revealed that the cyst on her ovary was gone. There are no signs of inflamed capillaries from vasculitis, she doesn’t have IBS, no Candida flares, her dentist told her she has healthy gums—they never bleed anymore—and a blood test showed normal vitamin D levels, without any supplementation.

Since going on her carnivore diet she “hasn’t had a single recurrence of any of this stuff. It’s like a magic cure.”

Ron got rid of skin tags, snoring, back pain, diverticulosis, toenail fungus, anxiety

Before
ron3
After

Growing up near the Adirondacks in upstate New York, Ron worked in the family construction business and was a lifelong subscriber to the Standard American Diet. In high school, he was 5‘6” and 205lbs, with a 36 inch waist. Since his work kept him active, he was able to stay trim for a while, but when he hit his 40’s and transitioned to a stationary desk job—his weight skyrocketed up to 285 pounds.

After experiencing a few unnerving health problems such as gallstones and a perforated colon, his real health scare came in January of 2022, when he had an episode of Bell’s Palsy. It spooked Ron at the time, as his brother had just suffered a stroke the previous year.

Thinking of his daughters and how we wanted to be around for them, Ron felt compelled to make a change. He came across the now infamous Joe Rogan interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson, who was discussing his carnivore diet. “Right after that, I’m like, ‘Carnivore! I love meat!’ So, I started on that, and it’s been no looking back ever since.”

Ron took the plunge and before long, he was losing 10 to 12 pounds per week. Starting out, he experienced some gastric issues, as well as a bad bout of brain fog saying “I got dumber than a stump for two weeks!” By week three, however, the aforementioned issues disappeared, and he began feeling “Really, really good.” Overall, the transition phase lasted three to eight weeks, so Ron encourages people to give the diet at least 90 days before calling it quits. Incredibly—in less than one year—Ron lost a whopping 100 pounds!

Some other happy disappearances include: skin tags, snoring, diverticulitis, toe fungus, and back pain. Ron is also very happy to report that his sex life has never been better.

Ron and his wife (who also lost 40 pounds on the diet) like to keep an eye out for sales when shopping carnivore, and when choosing leaner steaks, they supplement with eggs or additional fat to keep them satiated. Additionally, Ron enjoys pork belly and seafood, as well as homemade wings cooked in the air fryer on game days when he’s cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills.

At the start of the football season, he reintroduced beer, and while he didn’t suffer any adverse reactions, Ron realized he had to limit his intake to one or two cans—otherwise the junk food becomes more tempting with every passing beer.

At 52 years old, Ron is incredibly grateful for his new lease on life. He has extra energy and focus to write music and play his guitar, and is able to walk all day at an amusement park without having to stop and catch his breath every few minutes.

He shares his incredible transformation with anyone who will listen, hoping to help others experience the same freedom from obesity. “From a weight loss standpoint, you lose 100 pounds—it generally gives you credibility with most folks.”

Janet loses weight on a mainly carnivore diet

I’ve been chubby almost all my life. I’ve lost weight but unable to keep it off. In October of 2016, at the age of 57 I had a mindset change and became motivated to be healthy enough to enjoy my future grandkids. Family history was not good; my father died in his sleep at 61 (clogged arteries) and mother died of heart attack at 78. My oldest brother had double bypass at 60 and is now on dialysis. My other three brothers were on medicines to control blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. One of them has since died of multiple Myeloma. Another brother has adopted a low carbohydrate diet and is off most meds.

My cholesterol was at 230 with A1c of 5.7. I joined Weight Watchers at 159.5 lbs. I am 4’11”. The points system was based on a low-fat diet and nothing was off limits in proper portions. It took me 18 months to reach my goal of 124 lbs. This gave me a BMI of 25. I was pleased with the loss but my cholesterol and A1c did not go down. Over the next three years I struggled to maintain 124. My husband was on the same journey as I with cholesterol of 240 and A1c of 5.8.

In September 2020 we retired and relocated to Fort Worth, Texas to be close to our daughter and son-in-law who were expecting our first grandson. We started watching several YouTube videos in which doctors, nutritionist, and others spoke about the benefits of low carb, keto, and carnivore diets as well as intermittent fasting. We became persuaded that the food pyramid was junk and could be the cause of metabolic syndrome. Our annual labs showed no change in our cholesterol or A1c. Statins were recommended but we both rejected this option.

In November 2021 we started a low carb diet and intermittent fasting; breakfast of eggs and meat at 11am and either a large salad (with meat) or steak & steamed vegetables at 4pm. It was easy and I was amazed at how satisfied I felt. We had labs done after 3 months. My weight dropped 6 lbs., my A1c dropped to 5.5 but my cholesterol was 270. My doctor strongly encouraged me to take a statin. I refused and asked about other options to gauge heart health. Her answer was to take a CT heart calcium score test. My husband and I both had the test done. My score was 6 and my husband’s score was 0. These results confirmed two things for me; 1) cholesterol level is a poor indicator of heart health 2) a low carb, keto or carnivore diet is much better for me than low fat, whole grains, and seed oils.

Other benefits we experienced over the last year is better dental health, my childhood skin fungus has vanished, my husband has no more skin tags, his athletes foot issue is gone, his acid reflux cured, and his eye floaters are reduced.

I had two loved ones, pre-diabetic, with whom I wanted to share carnivore. I decided to create very short videos of key points by researchers and doctors like Shawn Baker, Ben Bikman, Ted Naiman, Jason Fung, and Paul Mason for easy, comfortable sharing. Both are now recovered and continuing with carnivore-ish diets.

Nanci heals from osteopenia on the carnivore diet

Hello my name is Nanci.  I am 66 years old a mother of 4 with one wonderful stepson and a grandmother of 9.  I was an RN and retired in 2016.  I have been married to a wonderful man for 43 years and for many years has served also a pastor’s wife for over 30 years.

For as long as I can remember food has been a huge part of my life.  I practiced using it for comfort early on.  I first started a weight loss program when I was in high school.  Weight Watchers.  I weighed 140 lbs and was 5’8” tall.  I have always loved sweets.  I ate homemade meals growing up but also processed foods.

My weight really started to climb when I started having children in my 20’s.  I got as high as 275 when I was carrying my third child.  I went back down to 220 and through the years crept up to over 300 lbs with the highest being 312 Lbs.

I have tried over 20 diets in my lifetime but have never been able to stay on them for longer than one month at a time.  The diets were always low fat high carb diets.  I was starving on them.  I have been Carnivore for over 2.5 years that is still unbelievable to me.

In 2016 I retired because my knees were so painful.  I needed knee replacements.  I could no longer work.  I have cerebral palsy so my condition was more complicated and finally went out on disability.  Around the same time I heard about the Keto diet.  Diet Dr was all over the internet so I started following their approach to weight loss.  I also listened to Dr Westman a Cardiologist out of North Carolina and Keto United a group out of West Virginia.

I lost weight like a rock.  Other benefits were: two weeks into the diet, arthritic pain was gone.  One month on the diet the 3+ edema in my legs was gone and two months into the diet my stasis ulcers were all healed up and I no longer had to wear surgical stockings.  I had a terrible fungal infection under my toe nails and it took two years to heal but that finally is completely gone.

After a few years I found I could not loose anymore weight on keto.  I know now it was because I was having too much plant sugar and keto treats.  I also enjoyed listening to Dr Ken Berry and Neisha, his wife.  They made keto simple.  Then fortunately for me I discovered Dr Baker on Joe Rogan and he was talking about the Carnivore diet.  So I started listening to him and his VIP guests.

In January of 2020, Shawn started a Carnivore challenge for the month of January and in March of 2020 I joined Carnivore.Diet.  The varied meetings are so informative and the coaches are amazing.  They taught me so much and I soaked up the meetings and learned so much from the coaches and community.

I initially gained weight on the Carnivore diet.  I was in a panic but Shawn’s platform and the coaching that I received there helped me stay on a steady course.  I learned that often we have to heal from the inside out first and that was certainly true for me.  At the beginning of 2020 I was diagnosed with osteopenia.

I was also pretty debilitated mostly sitting in my chair at home.  Shawn encouraged me to exercise just a little at a time but to stay faithful.  I would do my very simple workouts while I was involved watching the Zoom meetings.  People were so encouraging.

Approximately one year on carnivore I had to get down on the floor because I dropped a control under the bed.  I previously would never try to get down on my knees because I could never get up without assistance but no one was home to help me.

I was able to get down and up again without difficulty, something I had not been able to do for over 15 years.   It encouraged me to stay faithful.  I also had a coach, Stephen Thomas aka The UK Carnivore, who helped target my exercise to help with my specific weaknesses as well as coach me with the carnivore way of eating.

Just before starting carnivore I was diagnosed with Osteopenia.  I got another dexiscan  approximately two years later and it showed no osteopenia.  I also got a Calcium (CAC) test that shows the buildup of plaque in and around your heart arteries and my score was zero.  I was over the moon.

When people ask me if I will continue with Carnivore Diet or go back to the Standard American Diet I always answer “There is nothing to go back to”.  I have never felt so good.

Sara J healed boils, sarcopenia, and dysphoric pré-menstrual disorder on a carnivore diet

Sara did not realize the seven years she spent eating plant-based (first as a vegetarian, then vegan, and lastly raw vegan) would do so much damage to her health. She says she now realizes she was “brain-washed.” She speaks of her government pushing a meatless diet. Sara also says she felt she needed to get into the vegetarian lifestyle because of the treatment of animals and what she was told about the effects of eating meat on the environment.

Sara had many health issues before she became plant-based and while eating plant-based. Ten years ago, she was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a debilitating inflammatory disease that caused her to be in pain daily. Sara says she initially thought vegetarianism would help her condition, but it only worsened.

Furthermore, Sara lost her menstrual cycle for almost four years as a vegan. However, she regained her cycle after adding back eggs as a vegetarian. Sara also developed anemia and eczema and suffered from poor digestion and bowel movements. Sara says she didn’t realize it at the time, but she could not build muscle, even while training. Her skin was also very dull, and Sara was experiencing hair loss. She says it was “hard to see my body falling apart” and struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts.

Sara didn’t realize she was damaging her body. She tried to heal her body and followed what others told her she should do. Sara says the only thing that saved her while she was plant-based was that she also fasted. She would fast for up to twenty-one days and often felt terrific benefits from her fasts. However, she would often break her fast with fruit and other high-sugar foods, almost instantly losing whatever gains she received.

It wasn’t until a year ago a fellow vegan friend, who also has a youtube channel, began to share about his conversion to the carnivore diet. At that point, Sara began to open her eyes to what a plant-based diet was doing to her health. She realized what her body needed and craved was meat. Furthermore, she began to research and realized that many of the things she was told about the treatment of animals and how eating meat affects the earth are not true.

With the guidance of her friend, Sara jumped into the carnivore diet. When asked how she has healed, she says, “healing is a process,” but her eczema immediately cleared, and her digestion improved. The inflammation from her ankylosing spondylitis was also significantly reduced. She was also able to gain muscle, and her moods vastly improved. She says she no longer struggles with depression, and her suicidal thoughts are gone. She even says her hair and teeth are much healthier, and her skin is glowing and no longer dry.

Sara says she didn’t realize her body needed meat all along. She didn’t know that following “fake news” meant putting her life in danger. Today, Sara feels like she has been “reborn from the ashes.” She is thankful to be a part of the Carnivore.Diet community and says becoming a carnivore diet follower has completely changed her life.

Matt eliminated athlete’s foot and heartburn on a carnivore lifestyle

Before discovering the carnivore diet, Matt says his eating consisted of pizza, spaghetti, bread, and an addiction to Oreos. Matt says he didn’t have any significant health issues as you would expect from a forty-year-old eating the Standard American Diet. However, he did experience intense acid reflux and athlete’s foot, and he also noticed his moods were not completely stable.

After he turned forty, his wife convinced him to join her at a CrossFit gym, which Matt was somewhat reluctant to do. However, he soon gained a love for CrossFit, and it was there that he discovered the paleo diet.

Matt initially eliminated grains, potatoes, dairy, and other sugary foods while following the paleo way of eating. However, it wasn’t until his mom was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer that he truly began to learn the effects of sugar. Matt’s mom was not given a lot of hope. Her doctors told her to expect never fully get rid of the cancer in her body. The doctors also told her they could temporarily get her into a point of remission, but eventually, the cancer would return with a vengeance.

Matt decided to do some research outside of his mom’s doctors. He discovered a book called “Tripping Over the Truth” by Travis Christofferson. In the book, the author explains his theory of cancer being a “metabolic disease.” Matt says he also learned how cancer is fed by sugar and that the best way to rid of cancer is to starve it of sugar.

Matt relayed his discoveries to his parents and decided to follow the keto diet with his mom to support her. Despite her poor prognosis, Matt’s mom is doing very well today. She continues to follow the keto diet and is in remission. Even better, she continues to prove her doctors wrong. Matt says she even has more strength now than she did before she had cancer.

Matt continued to follow the keto diet for a couple of years. He says he noticed an improvement in his moods, but his acid reflux and athlete’s foot remained. One day, he heard Dr. Shawn Baker on Joe Rogan’s podcast and decided to try the carnivore diet. Within three months of living the carnivore lifestyle, Matt’s acid reflux and athlete’s foot disappeared.

Matt has now been following the carnivore diet for eighteen months. He says he only eats a little because he often does not feel hungry. He’s even been known to fast for up to four days while on business trips. He does enjoy mostly beef (particularly ground beef) and some fish. He also shared that he enjoys a chaffle (a waffle made out of cheese) with sugar-free syrup as a treat on the weekends.

Matt says he feels stronger now that he is following the carnivore diet. He shared that he continues to break his weight-lifting records and feels his body changing to be more muscular. Matt also said he can finally say he is no longer addicted to Oreos and other sugary foods. Overall, his moods are much more stable, and he says he finds much joy in his life as a carnivore.

Bobby’s enjoying relief from Hidradenitis Suppurativa on a carnivore diet

After many years of “yo-yo” dieting on low-fat and calorie restricted diets, Bobby has regained his health, lost over 150 pounds, and healed from painful skin conditions that affected his quality of life.

Bobby was overweight for much of his adult life. Over the years, he would have some success losing weight with low-fat foods like chicken breast, rice, and vegetables, but he found he was never truly satiated. He realized that this was happening because he wasn’t feeling satisfied and often would keep going back to the refrigerator looking to fill that nutritional gap. “I had this mindset where I would lose weight, and then ‘treat myself’,” Bobby shares with Revero coach Tracy, “But then it would get out of control again. I was miserable, and I didn’t realize to what degree until after I lost the weight.” At 5’7”, Bobby’s heaviest weight was 370 pounds.

In addition to being overweight, Bobby suffered from asthma, high blood pressure, athlete’s foot, and hidradenitis suppurativa, a painful skin condition that results in abscesses and scarring in areas where sweat glands are present.“I knew if I didn’t do something, I’m going to get up to 400 pounds,” Bobby recalls thinking. “I can’t do this, this has got to stop!” Bobby knew he had to make a change, and turned to several resources on intermittent fasting to help jumpstart his weight loss.

Switching to OMAD fasting (one meal a day) did help initially, but it wasn’t until Bobby started adding more meat-based meals that he was able to lose weight and keep it off. After finding information from Dr. Shawn Baker on fasting with a carnivore diet, Bobby made the switch. “I learned that the more I could incorporate animal-based products and the more I could cut down on vegetables, the better off I would be.” Since he and his wife share the cooking responsibilities, Bobby still includes a small number of vegetables in his diet. “We’ve reached a compromise,” Bobby explains. “I just confine my vegetable intake to a few certain ones like riced cauliflower.” For the other 90% of his diet, Bobby enjoys beef, pork eggs, and occasionally chicken. When eating out at a restaurant, he’ll enjoy bunless burgers.

Bobby’s success on a carnivore diet has been astounding, and his doctor is “delighted” with his results! He’s pleased to report a total weight loss of 150 pounds, and a total of 10 inches around his waist. He no longer is limited to “Big and Tall” retail stores, and is thrilled to trade in his size 5X shirts for XL. “I feel better than I’ve felt in 30 years!” he shares. “The only downside is that I have to buy a lot of clothes now, but it’s a good problem to have.”

Thankfully, Bobby’s skin issues are 90% resolved on a carnivore diet, and no longer cause him discomfort throughout the day. His doctor also is weaning him off or has already removed his blood pressure, allergy, and asthma medications since his symptoms have significantly improved.

Bobby is now a Certified Carnivore.Diet.com Coach and is enjoying helping others bring back their health. “You have to want to make the change,” he tells his clients. “Become friends with the food that is going to help you!”

Listen to Coach Bobby tell his story of healing on the Carnivore.Diet.com podcast.

Cassie healed from plantar fasciitis, edema, back pain on a carnivore diet

Cassie lost 130 pounds on Carnivore!! (100 of it in only 9 months!)

I’m never going back. I was sick, in pain, and tired. I don’t ever want to be that person again.

Six years ago (at age 45) I started Paleo because I was 376 pounds, walking with a cane, taking naps every day, and on allergy medicine because of constant allergy attacks. I had candida overgrowth which was causing me issues and when I googled to find a resolution it led me to Paleo.  I did Paleo for 2 ½ years and lost 170 pounds. It healed most of my problems but I eventually stalled and then started to introduce Paleo treats which fueled my carb addiction (which had never gone away). Eventually I started eating processed foods, sugar, and corn again. I stayed gluten-free due to my IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) / leaky gut.

In late 2019, my candida overgrowth had returned with a vengeance and when I googled again for a resolution, I found Carnivore.  I had heard of the zero-carbers when I was Paleo but thought it was radical so I never tried it.  This time there was a lot more information on zero-carb and Carnivore.  I read up on it, watched videos, and decided to give it a try.  I decided I would do it for a few weeks in November 2019 but that I would go off of it while I was traveling for work and enjoying Thanksgiving. I did the same in December.  Each time I had the carnivore flu.

When January 3, 2020 arrived (age 50), I started again from my highest weight in the past 5 years of 294 pounds. I told my husband that I was doing “zero-carb keto” for a while. I didn’t admit to being Carnivore until a month later.  I had the carnivore flu (again), bathroom issues, and fatigue.  I knew now what to expect and I was learning a lot of information from Facebook.  When I joined Carnivore.Diet, I attended as many meetings as I could to learn from everyone on the new platform.  The meeting leaders were great and had all been on carnivore for 6 months, 1 year, or even longer. It was also great to be on the same path as other new people starting in January.

In the beginning I ate a lot of chaffles (egg and cheese in a waffle iron), bbq (unsauced), and bacon.  I always carried bacon with me including when I traveled twice in January for work. I had a burst of energy at week 3, but then was fatigued for a few more weeks. I had meat aversion around week 4, but I did short fasts until my appetite came back.  By week 6 my carb cravings were gone.  Sweet treats still smell good to me, but I have absolutely no desire to have one.  I never want to go back to feeling so sick, dazed, and confused.

By the third month I felt fully dedicated–nothing could dissuade me from staying on Carnivore for life. I’m a total convert. My work capacity has increased dramatically. I feel like my brain was operating at 30% compared to 100% now. I have so much energy I overdid it with construction projects at our new home and now I’m having some physical therapy for shoulder / rotator cuff tendonitis.  I haven’t truly exercised but I do get out 2-3 times a month for a 2-mile run/walk when the air quality in California allows.

Two questions I get asked frequently after losing 100 pounds in exactly 9 months. Do I fast? I did a bit of fasting the first 6 months but since I was doing so many projects on the house I needed the food for fuel. Now that I am healing my shoulder and not taking vacation I am more sedentary. I generally fast now either 1, 2, or 3 days a week. It just depends on how hungry I am.  The other question is about excess skin.  I do have it which is one reason I fast (for the autophagy) but I fully expect to have some skin removal surgery on my arms, stomach, and thighs.  You can’t lose almost 200 pounds in 6 years (half my body weight!!!) without needing some help through body contouring.

I do not have insulin resistance or thyroid issues. I think this is why I can lose weight easily at age 50/51. I’ve lost 100+ pounds three other times in my life (WW, Exercise, Paleo). Another reason I do well is that I don’t deviate from plan. I know I’m a true carb addict so I must completely abstain. I don’t ever want to lose this. Even if I never lost another pound I wouldn’t care. I’ve gotten more of my life back in less than 10 months then I ever anticipated.  I still attend Carnivore.Diet meetings when my schedule allows so if you see me in the evening social meetings or at the carb addiction meetings (which I lead), please say hello. See you on the other side!!!

Food: I eat beef, bacon, pork, chicken wings, duck, black coffee. Gave up eggs (even egg yolks caused me nausea) and now only have a small amount of cheese. Dairy (heavy cream, soft cheeses) do slow my weight loss / cause weight gain.

Exercise: I run/walk a few times a month about 2 miles each time

Healed: Carb cravings, brain fog, plantar fasciitis, heel spur pain, severe candida overgrowth, edema, back pain (which required me to take anti-inflammatories every night and to sleep sitting up)

Katya improved digestion, bladder and kidney pain on a carnivore diet

My name is Katya.

Basically I was a Raw Vegan and  pioneer of the lifestyle in Australia some 20 years ago.  I opened the first Raw and living foods cafe, way ahead of its time, then went on to teach classes, programs and run retreats.

I have a background in digestive health, prior to opening my own raw food cafe,  lectured at Hippocrates Health Food Institute on  cleansing, detoxing and was also resident colonic therapist for a period of time.  In 1974 I had a vegetarian bf and at that time the only vegetarian ‘fake meats on the market were Sanitarium soy based dried kibble, and canned products.

I  had periods of vegetarian and veganism before going raw vegan in 2000. Throughout the first 12 months, I felt and looked  fantastic.

The end of the  next year, I began to get  anemic.  I have a strong constitution, from my Russian father;s side,  yet   my reserves of iron, in particular, had now diminished.

I began to get mildly anxious for no reason well into the  third year. The anemia progressed into the 3rd year   until I had to see a doctor. II was so pale,  lost weight, had shortness of brerath on walking a few metres, was so fatigued and weak.

I finally had to go to a doctor. .My iron levels were under 7. The doctor was shocked. and adamant I eat meat.  I had to have immediate iron injections, as I refused to eat meat.  So I ate eggs for periods of time, and then went back to eating raw vegan as if it never happened.

Then superoods’ came to the rescue promoted by David Wolfe.  AFA, green barley powder, spirulina.  I thought that would solve all my iron problems as the labels said it was high in iron.. unfortunately not bio available heme iron.

In 2012 I went fruitarian for 3 years and thats when I really struck problems. It was good at for the first 8-12 months, then I began to get more pin hole  cavities. Lots of them. I would get them filled and more would come.   Towards the end of fruitarianism, my teeth were so sensitive  it hurt when I ate food,  I lost two upper molars, as they had become weak and slightly looser in my gums and infections set in. It was a nightmare, as I refused root canals and had them extracted instead.

In 2015 gut and  sleep problems began to happen,  leaky gut, continual bloating, then more anxiety, brain fog and finally an auto immune disorder – fibromyalgia.

Two  months short of of 62,  after 20 plus years identifying  and immersing myself in the world of raw veganism, I really hit the wall. I was still looking good on the outside, yet what was taking place on the inside could no longer be ignored.

The signs became more obvious, pointing  to a deterioration of my skeleton, a breaking down of my kidneys, my immune system, my nervous system, my digestion, and my blood sugar regulation. I was almost Type 2 diabetic.

I never went into raw veganism for an ‘ethical’ belief I held. In fact, initially, health issues weren’t my driving force either.

For me, rejuvenation was the fuel firing the search and exploration of protocols, which repaired, renewed and rejuvenated the body, mind and spirit.

I ignored many red flags during my vegan years, yet I was successfully programmed and veganism had become my identity. Towards the end stage of veganism, I began salivating at the smell of roast chickens in clear plastic roteserie bags at the supermarkets. Yet my vegan brainswashed mind would tell me. ” Its a body bag, dont pick it up.”

I shut down my body’s intelligent feedback system to eat animal foods. I had ignored it/over rode the signals for years, the intense vegan programming had taken over and I suffered the consequences I craving eggs more frequently every few weeks. Finally I had a dark night of the soul, at 62. A complete breakdown. My immune system crashed. I had 3 bouts of food poisoning within 6 months. and it was horrendous.

During the period of heaving over the toilet bowl, crying and crying out in desperation for help, I heard loud and clear to “Go Eat Fish” so I did. and then after a few days. the message came to eat more fish, every day. Immediate improvement. I then went on to chicken. Yet the brainwashing was the hardest to unravel. I was convinced raw veganism was the healthiest diet on the planet, even with the health problems I was suffering with, I put it down to stress or detoxing…

It took me 15 months before I could eat red meat. and then things really started to improve. I took out all high oxalate plants, and went low carb, then zero carb, while my body reset itself. It was hard, as I went through a few months of intense oxalate dumping. But I pushed through and now have reversed many of the health problems I had.

My teeth are strong and firmly anchored in my gums. I have no plaque on my teeth, or sensitivity. After the incredible improvement in my dental health, just from eating meat based, I was angry for a couple of months about losing two upper molars, unnecessarily, however I’ve accepted it and am grateful that I had divine intervention to stop veganism and to change my diet.

My gut is healing wonderfully, I have reversed joint pain, I have reversed sarcopenia. Finally I am gaining weight without real exercise, just from consuming lots of fatty meats. I sleep much better, deeply. Before I was waking every to hours, with my heart racing, mind racing. Now that has stopped.

I am happier and cope with stress more easily. My body doesnt go into fight flight so easily. My physical strength has improved. No longer teetering on Type 2 diabetes. Bladder pain, kidney pain improved Less trips to the bathroom at night.

Blood sugar regulation has improved Jaw tension improved. Inflammatory allergic reactions greatly improved. the auto immune Right now I eat a meat based ancestral nose to tail diet, and now that my gut has healed dramatically, I can have the occasional small inclusions of avocado, sauerkraut, or cucmber. This is just a general overview of what happened through 2 decades of almost all raw vegan. Happy to speak with you about my experiences and how a meat based diet healed me.

Kind regards,

Katya
